HELP: Problem with my external HDD (It won't detect)

I have an external hard drive - WD 1TB. When you plug it to the usb, the only thing that happens is that the white LED just lights up and there is no vibrations what so ever to indicate any hardrive activity. It is also not detected anymore in my Laptop or PC, (maybe because the HD is not working at all, because it does make any vibrations). I suspect that the problem is not with the HD itself but rather on the power of the HD.

Can you suggest how I can fix this or do you know any that can? The files are very important.

It is still under warranty but I bought it in HK and I dont have any plans yet of getting back there any sooner.

I did that already bro, tried so many things. I even tested it in a different PC, Laptop and other devices, wala jud.

try daw gamit USB cable nga naa isa pa ka connection sa USB port as additional power to the drive. If you have that cable kay akoang PQI external HDD naa man duha ka klase nga cable, naay isa lang ka USB cable (power+data) ug naa pud usa nga naay siwil para sa power also iconnect sa USB port.... (power+data) and (power).

Ahh okay, I'll try to file that cable bai, problem gamay karon is USB 3.0 man gud ang mga new USB cable sa WD na ron, especially sa 1TB siguro.. Ako lang nya ni palitan ug ing-ana nga cable basig mada ra.. Asa kaha ni pede ipacheck nuh?

kung guba jud na and maglisod mo sa warranty locally sa western digital (if under warranty)

better get a replacement. but before that try to change the usb cable 1st then test it again.

Did that already bro and wala ni sya external power adapter. The unit itself and 1 USB 3.0 Cable ra ang needed.
