    Default NVidia Physics

    Guys ask lng ko

    kanang mga duwa ron ba ralated to physics technology from nvidia,

    ok raba kung AMD imo setup sa imo pc? just like my current pc?
    wa raba kaha nay poblema?

    naa man gud ko game pakapin sako daan nga nvidia vcard.

    Pwede ra as long as that card is supported for PhysX, I think 8800GT and above ang supported for PhyX but its too slow to support it to begin with.

    That's correct... the 8800 series and above from Nvidia supports PhysX... I myself used the Ageia PhysX 100 (PCI) from BFG... its a relic but it enhances the supported PhysX games... the fps may drop due to the required processing but nevertheless, physx enabled games is visually good. But again, physx computation can be done by the extra cpu core and gpu physx compatible gpu might add as well. Be sure to have a fast cpu and fast main gpu for rendering physx (SLI or CrossFireX VC set up would help a lot).

    Note on physx enabled games with physx enabled hardware... If your main gpu is slow, the game's fps will definitely drop due to the extra loads in rendering objects.

    PhysX cannot be done on an extra CPU core, it specifically needs "CUDA" cores for it to work. Havok Physics on the other hand is CPU driven. TBH, no game is worth getting the PhysX card even with MafiaII you can use a single GTX580 and have PhysX running on it and still have about 30% GPU power usued.

    If your mobo has an extra pci-e slot, you can plug in an nvidia card and dedicate it for physx alone. I agree with earl. The best games out there doesn't have any physx support. The only physx games I find worth playing is Batman AA and Mafia II. Though Mafia II sucks at fully utilizing your nvidia card with physx enabled.

    so mga bosing i have 2 6970 and 1 9800gt;
    pa unsaon ni pag setup (pag ta-ud sa mobo ug software)

    I have no issues with Mafia II even with Physics set on high with a single GPU, still have about 30% GPU processing power to spare.

    yup, it depends on the type of physx engine used in the development of the game... physics have different variants/engines. again, it will not speed up the fps... in actual, it will decrease the fps due to the computation and rendering involved. they say, it's not worth it but for me, (an actual user of the relic... hehehehe... ) enjoyed the visual benefits of the game. the newer cpu and gpu can do the physics computation in the system... and it will be fast in today's standard. kaso, gamay ra games ang nag support aning physx man gud... ang lingaw lang kay nindot ang visual sa supported games... daghan na mapili-an na framework ang mga software developers... Open CL, Cuda, Physx, Direct Compute ug uban pa (unsa napud kaha ni... hehehehe) for today's 3D...
