i hated chinese language back in grade school SHS-B days. mao pud to gi ingon sa among chinese teacher gai China population is getting bigger thus making this language most used blah blah.. and like this thread "soon to be global business language" after 30yrs till now i am not able to use that chinese language. not to mentioned 2 subjects pjd to nag cge tawn kog tutor to pass.. till now of no use whatsoever..

it depends on you to use ur know-how or not, besides, u cant use it f u dont speak with chinese speaking people / friends / family members.

u can benefit from this, if u have kids who study in a chinese school that promotes chinese language, ( SHS-B is more focused on english, not chinese) , u can benefit too if u work in banks. or in a multinational firm.
or u can be in business, that deals with buying materials and supply from china...a lot more.
