HardOCP recently had the pleasure being given the tour of AMD's GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fabrication Facility in NY. For our viewing pleasure, they decided to share videos (more soon) of the tour.

I have heard of this facility for a while but it is only now that the building has taken shape and more details being shared to the media.

NOTE: THE VIDEO ONLY SHOW MODULE 1 OF 3 OF THE TOTAL FACILITY
A little background of the project:
-This facility will be manufacturing 28nm/20nm wafers and beyond
-$5 Billion dollars initial investment for this facility
-Module 1 alone will create 1,400 direct manufacturing jobs
-Module 1 is expected to be operational on the 2nd half of 2012
-The estimated size of Module 1 alone is over 300,000 square ft;equivalent to 6 football stadiums
-This will be the largest construction project in the USA

apparently so. I also didn't know that. I don't think AMD is the sole owner though.

Probably that section lang ilaha, I thought good GF is well owned by just GF and everyone else uses the fab.
