Advice Pls. regarding lawyer fees

Hi guys, mu ask lang ta ko advice bah. 1 year ago ni ask ko help from a lawyer to help me with my case (I was overstaying na in the Philippines kay although I'm half filipino, im not considered one, so i had overstaying fees). Ni charge xa nako 30K pesos. since mas dako man ako overstaying fees, ana ko na maka tipid gehapon ko. so I paid him half the amount. Then after pila ka months sige ko follow-up, mag cge ra xa ingon na iya g.lihok but then I needed to get out of the Phil. naman coz I had to go back to the country where I am a citizen. I paid nalang my overstaying fees. So my question is, can i get my money back? It's not the amount that gets me, it's the thought that somebody just took my hard earned money from me with nothing in return.

I kept the receipt that he gave me where he stated there what he was going to do for me which he never did. pls bros and sis na naa knowledge sa law. help?

the irony is, if he does not return the money..YOU NEED another Lawyer to sue him. lol

my sis ask kun unsa daw gisuwat sa receipt kay basin acceptance ra daw to ang imo payment usually ang acceptance kay mo-range man daw ug 40-50k depende sa case nimo...
