Pay Hike for Government Employees!

It's high time that the simple government employees will get their pay hike. The Arroyo administration allotted P172B for our government employees for the said salary hike.

This will be good news for our government employees who have been eyeing for salary hike ever since. It only goes to show that the government is doing better since it can now give more to its employees. Hopefully this could translate to better public service.

Don’t you think this will also alleviate the government’s concern against corruption? After all, if the employees are getting what is due to them, they will not be engaged in any graft and corrupt practices.

a pay hike is not a gauge for the elimination of graft and corruption. there are other things to consider.

but this pay hike is definitely a-okay for our government employees.

I'm a government employee and really they are paying well compared to private companies but I should say that pay hike won't make these people happy... I should say that they should increase manpower and minimize paper works!

.. most government employees don't deserve this pay hike. Look at City Hall, Capitol and other government agencies; they eat their lunch at 11:00 a.m., back at 1:30 and go home at 4:00. Super-lazy people. And if ever you get entertained all they'll say is HUWATA LANG. This price hike should be implemented on the private sector not the government.
