There's a thread already regarding this. Anyway, I do believe that the best dog to own is the breed that fits the owner's personality ( active or not, home body or not, health ( allergic or not to dog hairs), patient to groom a dog that requires regular grooming, financial capacity to provide for supplements and other medical needs, doesn't have the tendency to abuse (physical and verbal) a dog, living with children, living in an apartment or an abode with much space, employed or not and is the employment with fix schedule or on call). In other words, you must know/discern first who you are before you can choose which dog breed to keep.

Unless you tell us your personality, it's hard really for responsible bloggers to suggest which dog breed you can keep. Remember that you will be keeping an animal that has also a personality and like us, a creation of a Supreme Being, that you can not just easily abandon when your interest of him ceases.

to TS and Matoy, you should take the initiative to research and see which breed suits your personality. just because 1 person likes a particular breed and recommends it does not mean that the said breed will fit you.

og pang pet lang kay small breeds lang bro. like Shitzu Chihuahua, Mini Pincher etc.... mas maau na sila kay gamay ra og kaon. so lesser maintenance kay sa large breed.

sakto to ang inputs ni airman, lisod pag suggest kung dili kahibalo ang musuggest sa imo gusto or personality.
kung putong or walay pasensya or gamay ang pasensya sa keeper kay murag bun-og ang iro og luoy.
makalingaw ang iro kung kamao ka muduwa nila og naa kay panahon, dali sila kasabot.
kung gusto kag guruyon ka kay puede ang dagko nga iro.
pero kung gusto nimo ikaw ang magbuot sa iya lakaw, kuhag gagmay nga iro kay dali ra pag bira kung gahig ulo.
