my wife is finished operate in the tyroid. tapos i schedule na pra radiation pra totally mawala ung thyroid sa leeg nya... and di sinasadya nabuntis cya... What should do...?

inform the oncologist and visit an OB.. complicated mani nga situation..

i guess kng first week pa sa pag bubuntis hindi nakaka apekto pa yan.pero as what reginakrys advice go to your OB and pa checkup

Basically the same situation with my wife, the difference is that my wife wasn't advised to have radiation. She had her operation August of 2009 and she gave birth just last January. During the course of her pregnancy, naa siyay maintenance to keep it from growing (1 thyroid gland na lang because the other was removed).

So I think the best thing that you can do is to inform your wife's physicians. They sure know how to handle such situation. Pwede na nila pugngan until she gives birth and have the radiation later on.

ipapacheck ko pa kung ilang week na ung bata... malungkot na kc ung wife ko, umiiyak na gabi gabi sa kakaisip. me limit ba ng week na d nakakaepekto sa bata?

sana nga ganun... have birth muna tapos reschedule nila ung radiation... sabi kc pagkatapos ng operation pag ka march 2011 na bawal magbuntis sa loob ng 1 yr... before and after the radiation.. ung wife ko kc iniicip niya kataposan na nya kung d cya ma radiation kaagad... sabi ng doctor mas mainam kung maradiation ngaung yr. pagkatapos ng operation nya... naawa na ako sa wife ko.. feeling ko kasalanan ko lahat..

@TS, I already underwent both, the surgery and the RAI. I have a Papillary Thyroid Cancer. How about your wife? In my case, I only had my radioactive iodine therapy 2 years after my surgery. She doesn't have to fret, thyroid cases/cancer are the most curable ones. don't risk the baby of having complications later on. wait till she'll give birth.

salamat miaka cham.... at least nakakawla ng bahala.... so your point of view pataposin ko muna cya manganak. den reschedule namin ung radiation.... tapos na kc ung operation nya... ung radiation na lng wla pa pra mawala na tuluyan ung tyroid...... pero coconsult muna namin ung IM nya (INTERNAL MEDICINE) ung magsasagawa ng radiation....

hello istoryans..hala nuh....I was suddenly alarmed na dapat jud ko mag pa check up.im 28 had my thyroid surgery when I was in first year college. logn time ago.after that wala nako nagpa check up.but late last year dali ra au ko kapoyon so ngpa check up ko and then my TSH kay taas kaau.the doctor gave me maintainance..euthyrox.after that ni sulod na xa sa range..normal na.but la napod ko mo blik sa doctor kay mahadlok ko kay isog kaau...magminyo nko next year.is it true na lisod ma buntis bsta naka undergo ug surgery sa goiter.......
