The new album came out.... bought the first copy off my nearby record store.
Dili kaayo nindot.... actually I'm a bit disappointed.... I guess taas ra kaayo akong expectations since their first 2 albums were phenomenal. Okay ra hinoon, it's not really bad. It's mostly covers.. mga War Oriented. Paz Lenchantin is in the project sab... doing piano ang violin.
There's remakes of works by John Lennon, Depeche Mode, Marvin Gaye, etc....

at first i was really confused how to react with their emotive album.. i've been listening always then to their mer de noms + 13th step albums...
in the 13th step album.. there are already some very gloomy .. very-low-bass-sound type of songs.. i think danny lohner(NIN) has written some music in that record... and the band tries always to innovate... oh well, NIN + APC are collaborating that often...

but yes we're talking about EMOTIVE... it's just weird, i was just so ****ed-up one time... head messed up and all that... and their beats just sinked in on me... wow! i am enjoying their new direction also.. not so much on the covers... but on how they put their treatment on those revivals... you guys should listen to their acoustic treatment of most of their mer de noms tracks... amazing!!!! i was able to download some tracks re-mixed by former + current APC members and friends Lohner, Borland ... and the songs just take a new shape...

suffice to say, we have to really dig into their new sound now to appreciate it a step further...
