Default Parents: Do you dictate whom your son/daughter falls in love with?

this is a very real incident i overheard from a couple.

there was a chic in front of us, pretty, sexy and looked sophisticated.

we were seated in the customer's lounge. the husband appeared cheerful but seriously asked his wife who was sitting beside him, "kung kana babayhana ang magustuhan ni dodong, ok ra ka?" the husband was obviously referring to the pretty girl at the counter ahead of us kay iya man gi point sa iya simod.

the wife was silent for a long while. she must have been performing her own assessment of the girl.

then the wife said, "lain man nang bayhana na! dili na mabilin ug balay. magsunodsunod ra si dodong ana kung mahitabo nga sila".

    are mothers always like that?

sounds very judgmental.. but maybe pud nagminaro ang wife ug answer.. maybe she answered like that para mu send ug signal sa bana nga dli kasaligan ang mga girls like those.. para ma discourage ang bana nga mangitag ingon ato.. lols

but to answer the question, of course not.

I know of mothers who tell their daughters to marry foreigners so they have a prosperous life ever after!

Dli cya mo judge by his or her appearance oie, who knows mao di tong bayhana ang tig bantay and masaligan jud ug bilin sa ila. As for the question, it depends as long as tarong and responsible siya.
