Incubus manager Steve Rennie has revealed to fansite Incubus Online View that their new album is complete. In a forum post, Rennie explained more.
"Well its finally happened. Album #6 is in the can. Or should I say in the envelope. I picked up my copy (Copy #7) of the record last night at Henson Studios. Up until last night I'd only heard individual songs as they were being worked on, never final mixes, and never in sequence.
"Last night I heard the whole album and all I can say is "WOW". Like previous records it is nothing like its predecessors. Quintessential Incubus, but like no Incubus record before it. Stay tuned folks the party is about to start. We can't wait for you to hear it."
It is the first studio release since "Light Grenades" in 2006, before the band took a hiatus during which time the group released an album of greatest hits and rarities called "Monuments And Melodies".
Singer Brandon Boyd also experimented with a solo career, releasing his album "The Wild Trapeze" last year. Despite their apparent youth, the group are hitting their 20th anniversary this year, having formed in 1991 while in their tenth-grade.
