Default Unsay nindot explanation about tach, volt and vacuum

Hi Guys, newbie ko about monitoring engine performance.

Unsay pinaka nindot explanation based on experience about tachometer, volt meter, vacuum meter, etc.

Please paki post ug unsay benefits og advantage nga makuha nato if naa ta aning mga gadget naka install sa atong auto.

    Thanks daan guys.

tachometer - the gauge that indicates engine RPM (revolutions per minute)

RPM - the unit that is used to measure the number of rotations your engine's crankshaft is rotating in one minute.

volt meter - the gauge that indicates the voltage that runs through your electrical system

vacuum meter - the gauge that indicates the air pressure inside your carburetor.

further explanations will require very long introductions to the basic principles of operation ani nga mga components. the vacuum meter alone requires some understanding about air pressure.

The lower the RPM reading on the tachometer while cruising, the better for fuel efficiency.
A good stabilized voltage reading (within specs to your equipment), the better for battery charging and for electrical devices.
The higher the vacuum reading (in.Hg - inches Mecury unit) you can maintain while driving, the better for fuel efficiency.

All of the above readings can be easily affected by how you push the accelerator pedal and how early you shift your gear.
These devices are also good indicators when tuning the engine for better performance. Kung di pa kahibalo mo tuning, less useful ni sila nga devices unless you keep the readings as your basis of your driving style.

    @cptn_star: salamat sa definitions bossing...

@vernie: boss vern, tumpak ka. That's what I need tuning the engine for better performance but of course with the help of the expert. Another thing I need to know when to shift from low gear to high and vice versa.

Follow-up question bossing unsa man dyuy pinaka importante sa tulo. Like unsa dyuy dapat naku unahon pagpalit kay ako lang sa hinay2x yan kay kahibawo namo crisis karon.

    Again salamat kaau ninyo.

During tuning, vacuum gauge and tachometer (to visualize sa idle rpm setting during tuning) kung wala kay tachometer.

Galibog pud ko ani sa una asa ang unahon, ang nahitabo silang duha nalang gyud ang gidungan nako ug palit. hehe

A multimeter is also useful pang all around meter sa mga electrical ug electronic components.

Importante para nako ang vacuum gauge kay daghan koy giconnect sa vacuum line and to make sure wala koy vacuum leak nga nahimo, ang vacuum gauge ang indicator nako. For setting the idle rpm, gamit gyud kaayo ang tachometer kay wala man tachometer installed sa sakyanan nako.

ah mao ba boss Vern, so dapat ang unahon dyud ang tach og vacuum or pwede sad dunganon ang tulo if naay extra money.

    Thanks kaay boss Vern.
