I'd like to clarify the word vintage being used in this post , don't look at this as stepping on a foot but getting the best out of this post. When one says a car is vintage , manufacture date starts 1919 all the way up to 1930 (british). Although the Americans base it at 1925 per CCCA. The reason why it is called vintage is because these were made during the so called "Vintage Era" right about the end of World War 1.

It gets a little confusing because people may say ... what about Classic or Antique ... well from the numerous friends that are car enthusiast both here and abroad , and from books or the net - People are saying Classic falls between 25 to 45 years , while Antique would be cars over 45 years.

So if my math is correct that VW is borderline Classic and Antique, in a year or two that VW is going to be an Antique
