Looking at the very limited selection of games tested http://www.hardocp.com/article/2010/...s_460_1gb_sli/
The GTX460 in SLI is equal to the GTX580, now this is to factor that SLI is scaling well on the said game & you dont notice micro-stuttering ( not everyone does, believe me )

If we factor in the cost of 2x 460's from EVGA its roughly about 18k. This card might go down for 15-16k or so, it will be faster than the 560Ti but will consume more power. I do agree with you if anyone wants the performance of a GTX580, spend the little extra to get BETTER performance.

@EarlZ for this card to have any chance of success, price is absolutely crucial. it must be significantly cheaper than the alternative which is to buy two GTX 460s or a single GTX 570. If the price is only going to slightly cheaper, i don't see the point.
