Peer to Peer Connection Problem

Network Gurus, need ur expert advise.

I have two PCs sa house, and connected them thru a crossed na patch cord so basically its a peer-to-peer connection, somewhat the PC's communicates well, maka ping ka, maka share og transfer og files but my problem is dili cya maka detect if i tried to run TCP/IP applications/games, meaning if tried to play a game example Diablo in multiplayer mode using tcp/ip dili cya maka detect.. same with remote connection na software sa XP dili cya maka kita sa other PC.

Pls. advise thanks!

Dli ko expert hah..pero sulayi kno og turn-off imo Windows firewall. Or basin naa ka Norton Internet Security or other application na naka block sa imo connection.

if you insist on getting to work over IPX in XP, Goto Network connections--->properties of the lan and Goto IPX/SPX properties...assign locator numbers. eg 000001 one computer...on, 000002 on the second.
