need help: basic know hows in confronting ISP's regarding high pings

hi comp techies,

i am not well versed with regards to computer networking. i would like to ask for your help on how i can explain to my ISP regarding high pings when playing online games. i dont need those software optimizers but i want to directly confront my ISP since i have a 1.5mbps connection from pldt and it seems im not getting what i payed for. when playing Americas Army 3, i get 250 to 300 pings when playing on US servers. i need your help regarding on how to explain to them my "tracert" and "ping" connections like naa koy ma ingun ba nga nganu ing ani man ako connection nga hinay man kaayo. need help ko sa inyo maka explain lang bisan sa basics para di pud maka ingun sila nga wakoy nahibaw.an.

report ka about landline meaning about your phone handset that you heard something scratchy sound when calls come in or making outgoing calls, then report high jitter that causes high pings.

300-500ms is pretty normal with the quality of service we get from our ISP, nothing they can do much about it, sauna katong bagp ka kaayo ang DSL pre 999 days my latency to WoW servers were like 200ms tops, after a couple of years 500ms avg LOL!

Earlz is ryt. Normal na xa, samot imong gi ping naa sa gawas. Nya ang connection is common DSL.

normal ra na dri bai..mau jud na ang internet connection dri sa PH..not unless if naa kay fiber optics..
ang ping mn gud..kung mgkalayu ang server ms daku ang ping..for example like kna sa imung giduwa..US server ka ngduwa..ms daku jud ug ping ang US server kysa sa mga server dri sa SEA..

I agree with them, your ping is pretty normal to US /outside Philippines servers. There is nothing you can really do about it, unless you move closer to the server like going to US
