dvd writer question

good day mga peeps,

i'm buying a dvd writer this week, naa koy nakit-an asus brand about 2.3 - 2.5k ang price. ok nani cya no?

unsa gud nang dvd + R/RW or dvd - R/RW?
unsa meaning ana + or -? is it the type of blank dvd to be used for it?

what specs should i look for para mupalit ug dvd writer? ky basin ulahi nako makabalo unya ulahi na ang pagbasol. heheh...

BenQ DW1640 - 2.5k or lower maybe. its the best available here for that budget. if you know better models then go for it.

i have a sony drive and its almost 2 years old. (dru-720a) it has burned probably about 1k discs now (cd-r/dvd-+r), not to mention i only have one optical drive(dont need teh extra load on my psu), now it still works flawlessly

ako la pa kaabot tuig sobra nako libo ug sinugbahay sa DVDs sa akong DW1640... cheap price

anyway basin matingala sila ngano daghan nko naburn na DVDs nga dili mn kaayo common sa pinas ang DVD, sa taiwan ko work b4 then mga paabangan didto mga DVDs and VCDs but we prefer DVDs ang prob lng kay some captions are in chinese...

pero what about the + or -? does that really matter or wala ra na?

kanang - + sa gagamitan na nga unit, like ur DVD component nga moplay sa imo giburn... ang kasagara sa -R is more acceptable sa mga DVD component while the +R is not, pero depende na sa kakaraan imo player, kay ang mga bag o nga player mobasa na mn ug +R... then daugon na lng na sa booktype management nga pakapin software sa imo unit... naay DVD writer nga walay booktype management, kung magburn ka sa -R automatic iya na himoon ug -ROM then kung iburn nimo ang +R stays at +R after burning...

benQ has a booktype management +/- R media after burn will be read as -ROM, just modify the settings sa booktype management pra mabasa sa tanan player

ah, ok.. so para diay na sa gamitan nga player.

if + ra imo dvd writer, + rapud nga blank dvd iya pwede burnan
if - ra imo dvd writer, - rapud nga blank dvd iya pwede burnan
if +/- imo dvd writer, pwede maka burn ug + or - nga blank dvd
correct ba?

and
if +/- imo dvd writer without booktype management, if - blank dvd ang giburnan, - ROM ang gawas
if +/- imo dvd writer without booktype management, if + blank dvd ang giburnan, + R ang gawas
if +/- imo dvd writer with booktype management, whether + or - imo blank dvd you can choose the output to be - ROM or + R
correct ba?
