after observing some of our commercials, they have better special effects than any of our films.

well, some of our movies seem to have been improving on the special effects department. but then we don't see any breathtaking movies with great sotryline that has breathtaking special effects.

last year's manila film festival showcases Agimat, Lastikman and hula mo, huli ko. not really great movies but they claim ahs really great special effects.

I dunno thoughm but if you have such great special effects, why not do something original with it? lastikman and agimat had that matrix bullet dodge, I would've been impresserd i haven't seen it before. are filipino movies just stuck on the telenovela galore?

oh yeah, the award of the best badass poster goes to alamat ng lawin, never seen it but i'm sure it sucks. fernando poe in pink? characters in rather out of place colorful costume, priceless....

cheap kaau effects ang mga pinoy... pro unsaon taman.. wa nay laing mu appreciate.. kundi kita ra man ghapon ba... so support nlng..

About Lastikman, the movie was done in a month only daw. So that means bati siya, that includes the special fx. I knew a little about the special efx creator of that movie, he is good, he was the one who made the Absolute commecial where you see a grasshopper jumping over the absolute bottle. Pero wala niya ma execute iyang mastery sa animation in the Lastikman movie, maybe because of the short time alloted for him.

actually, mura ra tag gasunod2x sa mga spcial fx sa foreign film industries.. film making is a hard job..dili jud na sure if we could please the audience..especially mga pinoy na pili-an kaayo. di gud ta mananaw kaayo ug atong own movies..badoy..mau na! but honestly, low budget man gud ta..that's it..and because also of piracy..they can't make much money out of it like foreign films do..

a movie doesnt have to have special effects to be good. look at the oscars. there are just a few nominees or winners that are bad-ass, sfx movies. its all about the script and the directing. of course sfx movies almost appeal to anyone.

i agree, i think the basic elements is a good story, acting, cinematography and sound.
