    Exclamation Tubigon, Bohol Information

Anybody here has any information about Tubigon, Bohol? How to get there, where to stay, how to go about...

I'm particularly interested about the lake in this town. Any information about the lake is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

we stayed 3 nights at The Monina Midtown Inn & Restaurant. weird-sounding name yeah but the only real hotel in town. naay swimming pool and lami ang food! this was after we stayed from early morning arrival until daylight sa Ligaya's which my companions did not like hehe.

we took light shipping's midnight roro from cebu kay maona ang prominent nga makita sa sunstar, freeman or CDN. but when we were already in tubigon, we discovered pwerti diay daghana sa fastcrafts to/from Cebu - as in mas daghan pa sa Cebu-Tagbilaran vv. Try searching for starcrafts sa pier 1. we still took the roro on return though kay maka-smoke + walking-walking during the trip!

there was no 'lake' in our list. maybe its the dam above town? we didn't go there anyway

    Thanks for the info...
How much was the rates of the "weird-named" hotel you stayed on?
How long was the travel time to / from Tubigon via roro or fastcraft?
And as viewed from google earth, the it does look more like of a lake than a dam. As there's no visible concrete or steel structure anywhere near the water..

via tubigon. 3 choices ang fast crafts. naa na sa pier 3 ilang ticketing, pero naa na sila shuttle. inquire lang. About sa Dam, la sad ko idea ana. agi2x ra ko tubigon. Kay naa man akong siblings sa Calape. Visit Panggangan Island if you have time too.

i took a pic of some cashier's window (starcraft tingali ni)
    P200 economy
    P220 tourist
    P280 business
ambot unsai differences ana, but sure ko dungan mo dunggo hahaha!

sa lite shipping roro (also took a pic sa ilang makabuang nga ofc near MJ Cuenco)

    Wow! Thanks for the photos.
Any infos how to get up to the Lake? And are there any cottages in the area we can spend the night on? Lastly, is it safe?

I'd like to visit the place probably this week or the next, to fish...

going to the lake you can hire a tricycle and inform the driver you're going to NIA(ni-ya). It's a dam actually..

naa cottage sa lake pero dili pang overight.. picnic pwede.. just be careful because some old people say it's "tali-awan"

pwede pud mag treck sa ilijan hill.. the only hill you'll see when you reach the port. it's just beside the lake/dam.

i think there's a thread for tubigon that i created.. hehehe

you can also do island hopping.. go to the sandbar called dumog..

if you have a place where you can cook.. the market is abundant with seafoods and tubigon is known for crabs, shrimps, squid & fish..

    crabs - 150-170/kilo
    shrimps/squid -150-200/kilo

Interesting spot there in in Tubigon ha? Naa diay lake dha as eerie looking as that? But I'm more interested in the "Ilijan Hill" where the famous princesa resides. How do we go there? Should we get a permit pa? How about the "Dumog" Sandbar? Unsaon pud? Basi maka laag napud ko balik sa Tubigon bah. Thanks.
