boxing is boxing. duna hinoon drill & exercises in boxing. pero to say well rounded? wala man leg splitting or gamay ra leg exercises. pag aerobics nalang kay matawag jud na as well rounded exercise.

Ang boxing, aerobics ra ug agility. Wala muscle building ug flexibility. Therefore, dili well rounded. Unless, si Pacquiao ka.
i am not a yawyan practioner but i like yawyan handle their gym. specially in ekin canega's gym. worldclass ang facility and professional ang mga instructor. although there were contreversy but obviously they won most of their figths and i believe thehaving a good gym helps them a lot.
i also give credit to ekin canega for hosting big figthing events, you know this is not easy job.
i would say that in cebu, we do have top caliber instructor and figthers, but ekin canega's GYM is a good model.
my team fought in shockwave 2007 event.

bai I don't think there is such a thing as 'recreational boxing'? naa ba?
if boxing then boxing gyud! aside from learning the types of punches, footwork, stance, etc... you need to be fit enough to last for at least 3 rounds in the ring (for amateurs). that means stamina and endurance.
skip ropes, push-ups, pull-ups, jogging, sit-ups... for high (very high) repetitions. i don't think you need to limit your carbs because for sure you'll need high amounts of it during training.
but if you're really committed to applying boxing training then I think that is very rewarding health-wise and of course you can kick someone's arse with ease!![]()
