You know I was really looking forward to what Microsoft was going to announce at CES, but what they showed was kinda disappointing. I was expecting a new OS for consumer tablets, or maybe even take the current Windows Phone 7 OS and optimized a bit for a tablet form factor, but nah. All we got was more Windows 7 based tablets. Sorry Microsoft, but a Windows 7 based tablet/tablet PC may be fine for certain people out there, but the majority just want their tablet to be fun and easy to use. They don't want that baggage of a full blown OS.

Like the iPod or the iPhone, the iPad wasn't first in the tablet market. Apple just has a way of invading the market at the right place and at the right time, and with almost perfect execution.
