go for lenovo and toshiba. just ask if the laptop has ang GPU or so called videocard, much better if the videocard has 1gb for graphics, also with a higher ram would be good.
Dell and Sony VAIO are good candidates also. As eXpLoDe mentioned, make sure you have the best quality for your laptop hardware.![]()
For the price point, Lenovo G460 is suitable for you. its got core i3 and has a 1GB of dedicated graphics card. I've seen one at Lenovo store SM. In my opinion, they are more durable than other brands.
I have a sony but its quite expensive here in cbu. But it looks cool like a mac.
I had a dell, i sold it with no defects i think was 3 yrs old. Core2. I was happy.
Acers, i dont like most of theyr design, but thats just me. Gateway is their subsidiary. So didnt you notice the resemblance. Ive seen more incidents of damaged acer and gateway. However they seem to have many supplies everywhere.
Lenovo has some sleek looking models too.. Theyr seem to bee durable.
hp, good. They have ugly models too. But its a very reliable company. I like the probook and the elitebook.
Toshiba, ugly most of them, but again its just me.
Asus, i can think motherboard brand. I like theyr ultraportables thou, not the netbooks.
Msi, same thing as asus.
Go with Dell. They have good deals for ur budget.
Dell Inspiron 14 naa nay HD 5550 na graphics
on the contrary.. i've used Acer and the sturdy and solid performance I get didn't feel me less weak nor lost my self confidence on the manufacturing worthyness of my laptop.
ACER is a taiwan based company but being made in ASIA doesnt constitute as a low grade product.. infact ACER is the number 2 or 3 top most pc/laptop company all over the world...
It would't be there at the pinnacle of the leading brands at the top if the durability of their laptops are not tested by all the users in the world...
I am not an ACER fanboy.. but I think your a bit biased to it lang.. ACER bought the US owned gateway before.... gateway has built a solid reputation in the US market before. Gateway just didnt have the drive to sustain their marketability on American consumers and that is why Acer bought it.
I would at any time pay my whole money on ACER than on other laptop brands out there... Sony is okay.. but the price on their laptops is inconsiderable considering the same specs can be found on a much cheaper branded ones... DELL? i have questions still on the durability of some of their brands..
If you can recall up to now, people are still wary on the heating issues they have on their past models... even up to the point of DELL withdrawing those models because of burn-ins and sometimes "goes up in smoke" models and people will always remember those, even if DELL had already fix that issue (I would assume they have already)
I have no qualms with Lenovo, HP nor Tosh.. ASUS is okay, MSI is on the top brand as well...
and oh by the way.. you forgot NEO as well.. though not much I can say about it....
But TS' acer died. Too bad. But i still like dell cause it didnt died on me or in my office more than 1000 desktop units (there are reasons why dell is chosen), it just gets donated when they became very old, But of course not everything survived to the end.
mga lig-on nga models/brands para nako...
- IBM/Lenovo Thinkpads T/X/R series
- Fujitsu Lifebook series
- Toshiba Portege/Tecra series
i've heard also that Asus makes very realiable laptops but wala koy first-hand experiences sa ilaha... so my next laptop (kung maka kwarta) will be an Asus![]()
