How do we get out of the call center industry and work in a regular day job

it will really depend on you skills.
if you're four year graduate then it will depend on how much knowledge you still have on the degree you've graduated.

Most of my advice for call center agent is that, if you've been stuck for 1year and you haven't got any promotions, then my advise is either you continue work there and save some money, or leave while you still have those knowledge on your chosen field before it drains-out. Make sure you found a job to replace before you tender your resignation.

I worked in a call center before, money was great. I got promoted after 6 months but i declined the offer. I wanted to become a Systems Engineer that is my goal. I love the company but it's just that it's not the profession that I was aiming for, there was an opening before but it was in Manila.

You need to sacrifice a lot specially the salary before getting the job that you dreamed since college, I tell you it will be WORTH IT!
