    Default Computer reading on Corolla 94 gli


    ...My "check engine light" nis on, i had it diagnosed from speedmaster, here is the report, /Total codes 001/
    12 Faulty RPM signal(no RPM, NE and crankshaft position signal transmitted to ECU after started for 2 seconds)
    1.CKP and CMP sensors short or open
    2.distributor fault
    3. start circuit open or short
    4. module fault/

    If you have any input about this, it'll really help...

    Default 4afe diagnostic codes

    connect te1 & e1 on the diagnostic socket through a wire jumper, then switch on the ignition
    but don't start the engine.
    the ff check engine codes flash on intervals corresponding to check engine fault/s:
    these are some of the codes:

    [code]-[System]-------------[Diagnosis]/[Trouble Area]

    [11]----[ECU(+B)]------------[Momentary interuption in power supply to ECU]
    [IGN sw or CKT Main Relay, Main Relay CKT, ECU

    [12]----[RPM Sig]------------[No NE or G signal to ECU in 2 Sec after crnking]
    [Dist or CKT, starter signal ckt, ECU

    [13]----[RPM Sig]------------[No NE signal to ECU when rpm is above 1,000]
    [Dist or CKT, ECU

    [14]----[Ign Sig]-------------[No IGF sig to ECU 4-5 in succession
    [Igniter and ign coil or CKT,ECU

    [21]----[Oxy Sensor]--------[Open circuit in ox sensor(only lean indication)]
    [Oxy sensor or CKT, ECU

    [22]----[Water Temp Sen]---[Open or short circuit in Water tmp sen sig(TWH)]
    [Water Temp sensor or CKT, ECU

    [24]----[Intake Air Temp]---[Open or short circuit in intak air tmp (THA)]
    [Intake air temp sensor or CKT, ECU


    in your case, code 1-2 possible fault in your distributor circuit. could be a loose distributor socket.
