I think its the best release in 2000 where so many nu metal bands dominate the music scene. It just simply reminds me of dream theater they're difinitely a clone, yes they're also that good but they sound heavier. Prog music is an acquired taste... and most of the time, only musicians can appreciate and understand what's going on...

its really sad when even musicians here in cebu don't appreciate this kind of music coz this deserves more attention that those predictable type of music which ages in a short period. for i think prog music is timeless. like if you listen to pink floyd or rush or even yes their music is way ahead of its time.

I feel the same way too, dude. I used to have a band that used to play songs from Dream Theater, Queensryche, Mr. Big and Extreme. The audience would just look at us with blank stares and open mouths as if they didn't understand a thing. Through the years of being in a band, making and playing music, I learned that Cebu is such a small place and the market in music is so limited.

Symphony X is good -- up to the point of being so avante-garde sounding. Mike Romeo is a very exceptional guitarist.

But when I started listening to Angra, I said, "these guys kicks serious a$$ even more!" Their two guitar players are just so damn good they sound like Nuno Bettencourt and Paul Gilbert playing in one band.

I still havent heard of angra, but i've read some reviews on amazon, and I'm planning to buy one of their records, maybe you can give me tips on which album shall I begin with.

anyway, naa ko tanan album nila, unya ang s/t ra nga album di nako ganahan, except sa masquerade nga kanta ( murag lahi paman to ilang vocalista )
