I'm bored with my headlights so i decided to upgrade it to HID.
First thing I did was cook my headlight in an oven at maximum heat to loosen the sealant. (ayaw kas-a ha kay malanay imo headlight)
I then crack open the lens so I can fit in my new angel eyes projector lamp. But before anything else, you'll have to remove the center cap or whatever that is.
You may also remove the retaining clips for the old bulb since you no longer need them.
make sure that the lamp is not upside down. There is a sticker which says top. Make sure that it is on top. heheh
And for a test fit
Fits like a glove!
Make necessary adjustments to make sure that the cut-off is leveled and then I applied epoxy on the thread of the projector lamp to make sure it does not loosen up and fall inside your headlight.
Do the same on you other headlight.
When you're done with your other headlight, it's time to put it back again. This time, I used silicon gasket maker as a sealant because it's cheaper and can withstand hi-heat. Clear silicon can handle up to 150 degress only but I think that's okay.
Wiring
Please don't mind my dirty engine bay since it's really crowded in there.
I cut my old headlight socket and opted to have it soldered since this will be permanent anyway. you don't any loose connection in your headlight.
This is the controller for the hi and low.
This is the central controller and ballast for the CCFL angel eyes.
The only place I found to mount my ballasts, 2 each side.
These wires goes to your parklight so your angel eyes lights up when your parklight is on.
(I wonder why it says power of caution light)
soldered them to make them permanent
After two days of struggling with my headlight everything lights up just like how I wanted it.
Enjoy!!!
