Default Beekeeping and harvesting honey in Cebu

Do you think running a business of beekeeping and harvesting honey is viable specifically in Cebu? A beefarm outside of Meto Cebu is being envisioned by another friend of mine and he hopes to get into the honey business for export (if not for domestic consumption).

Are there enough people in Cebu who are skilled enough to be beekeepers? Is the minimum wage of P285 sufficient enough for them? How good is the local demand for honey products?

This business will sure be ok outside the city. here in shanghai, like going to the town of Jiading. Bee farms are just beside the roads.

Honey is a "food for the gods"... its very nutritious. I'm sure, it will be a hit in Cebu...

I heard that local food businesses buy imported honey for their needs. If any local produced honey would be as good as the imported products (in terms of taste and quality), and at the same time be priced lower than them, then that could be good. The only question is, how hard is that to achieve within Cebu economics?

Nindot jud ni siya nga bizz... labi na if ikaw mismo is on this line jud.
Mas nindot if imo ni i-integrate sa imo Farm. Kanang kalubihan, kasagingan, lemonsitohan, kamaisan, etc.

If i were you... focus lang usa on production.
...i mean, on producing the honey.
Kay usahay, seasonal baya ang harvesting ana (depending on the bee family you are breeding)
If naa na ka enough quantity, i-market dayon.

Marketing it is very crucial pod...

    Good luck!
