naa ko 40gig hdd. brand is seagate. the problem is ma detect cya sa cmos setup nga 40gig cya peru ang ma detect nga cylinders is 4,000plus lang. instead of 16,000plus ka cylinders. i dont know kung guba na ba ni cya or kaya pa ning ayohon.

and inig abot sa windows, ang ma detect lang niya is 37gig lang. ako nang gi reformat mao lang jpon ang blima. peru ma store and retrieve pa ko ug files.

kabalo ko nga gamay ra ni nga problema sa hdd naku. dli palang kaayo ko maayo mo ayo ug hdd. kung dli na ni madala ug ayo ang hdd ako nalang ni ibaligya.

did you try setting your BIOS to "auto" for your primary master? or wherein your drive is set.

sa windows 37 GB ana gyud nang mga HDD bai... way klaro... 40 GB gisuwat pero 37 mugawas...

sakto si dark_humbz! ingon ana man gyud na ang hard disk. ang imong tan-awon, kay ang number of bytes... dili ang pili ka GB. dili na guba imong hard disk uy... kay kung guba pa na... dili na modagan imong windows. pirmi nag hang

40gb is not the proper number, its just an estimate then 37gb is normal.

warranty pa na bai? kung naa pa warranty pailis nalang na nimo..

it's not nga walay klaro.. do a google and you'll find out why. it's really easy to understand but a bit harder to explain. so google nalang..pero if di ka.. then don't worry there's nothing wrong with your hdd.
