abi naku ug nag retrench ang fairchild. naa man gud ko schoolmate dinha nagpa bayad nalang kai nag retrench daw...

my in-law was retrenched 2years ago, i think...

but was re-hired....but not for the same position and not the same salary... but still a pretty good one...

this company is good.....but if stability is concerned, it will retrench people to cut costs..... it's but natural in all companies....

my in-law has served more than 30 years na....and he was even a manager/supervisor....tak-tak gihapon... katong financial meltdown ang US...

i think okay ang environment didto.... i don't hear my in-law complain...

Other semiconductor companies in laguna and cavite have also retrenched several employees during the global recession and I agree with you that this is quite natural. It makes sense to cut the costs. And the tendency is to offer the separation to the "oldies" just like in the case of Analog Devices in Cavite. First in First out. (FIFO)

That's good to hear that the environment is ok in FSCP.

almost all if not all companies in MEPZ had retrenched during the global recession. Fairchild and Lear was one of them..
