What's the difference between PSP PHAT and PSP SLIM?

What age group does this portable video game designed for?

I am a mom and i want to give my 2 year old this hand held game for her to view her videos for she constantly boroows my cellfon and watch her videos there. This way, she has her own and can later on have games here to play too....

Any other information I should be aware of re PSP?

thanks and merry christmas in advance to all!

What's the difference between PSP PHAT and PSP SLIM? the software would be the same i think. psp phat is heavier and thicker than slim

What age group does this portable video game designed for? it is open for all ages as long as it is handled with care... but i think ur 2 years old daughter will just throw it away... hehehehe!

u can just use it mom... u can also use internet in psp as long as there is wifi in your area!!

may jun and july sounds to me like your kids names

    BTW

-Fat has more speakers (4, not two, noticeably louder on fat, speakers on bottom of psp and lower part of front, not upper part of front)
-Fat weighs more, much bigger, very easy to tell
-Slim has video output to tv
-Slim is missing IR (infrared) port
-Slim WLAN switch is on top, not side
-Slim has less complicated disk slot (no metal bars, just empty)
-Slim has slide out memory stick slot, not door style
    -Elevated buttons on slim
-More RAM (random access memory) on slim allowing for faster loading times and option to cache umds resulting in more battery life
    -Supposedly more efficient battery usage
    -Charging through usb mode

I think the slim is better, but if you already have a psp, don't get it. Guys there are a few flaws. Its not completely better than the fat. Basically the same thing. It's better, but not really worth an upgrade. And one other thing I noticed was that the control stick feels a little cheaper and plastic-like whereas the psp fat's feels very sturdy. Kinda took a lot out of the plastic to make it weigh less, I guess. Hope this helps.

And the native video format for psp is mp4, avi also works aside from these formats the rest doesn't work on mine. You have to convert videos to mp4 format that's compatible for psp.

    Mine is slim type..
