programmers salary rate-abroad

my internship period will mostly end after a days and i am preparing to justify the salary i am going to required as a database developer. the scope of database development range from standalone application and online transaction (intranet/internet). but i have no idea how i am going to justify the salary im going to required.

the company is not too specific w/ the programming language to use and the database to use. most likely im using MS products... as quoted "IF YOU WANT TO MAKE MONEY USE MS PRODUCTS"... not my bad huh? .

btw, im working in middle east and im one of the first to stablish the company's IT department. what i am seeing on the IT dept plan for the software development will be.... BLOODY...

i know some guy working in new jersey earning just 4K dollars a month.. not much but you can ask higher than that since your in middle east...
