    Default UPS Calculations Help

I have 2 Desktop PCs that need protection nya plan nako mopalit og 1000VA nga UPS pero nag search ko sa net about this nya mao ni akong nakit-an

3.3 Determining How Much Equipment You Can Connect to Your UPS
    1. Make a list of all equipment that requires protection.
    2. Each piece of equipment has voltage and current (VA) ratings printed on
the back label (see examples below). Your equipment may have a voltage
rating such as 88-264V. Since the standard voltage in the United States is
120V, you should use 120V in your calculations.

    ViewSonic G810
    120V 2.7A
    50 / 60 Hz

    Computer
    Pentium Pro 200MHz
    120V 2.0A
    50/60 Hz

    3. Multiply the voltage and current of each piece of equipment (VA
    requirements); for example, 120V x 2.7A = 324VA, 120V x 2.0A = 240VA.
Add up the VA requirements for each device; for example, 324VA +240VA = 564VA.
    4. Make sure that your UPS has at least as much VA capacity as your
    equipment requires.
So akong gitan-aw akong PSU, then nakabutang Voltage is 220V and Current is 3A. So based sa
calculations 220V x 3A = 660VA is needed just for the PC only wala pa labot ang monitor
    man gud. Pero 220V x 3A = 660VA x 2 PCs = 1320VA!!! waaaaaaa... sakto ba na?

where did u get ur 3A figure?

    from my PC's PSU... 220V / 3A nya ang SilverStone nako nga PSU is 220V / 4A

ayaw nalang i compute2x hehe.. tan awa nalang pila ka watts imo PSU aron mas dali

    This is right!...

For 1000VA.. assume its capable of 500watts.

Calculate the max power draw (at 100% util) of both your PC's in watts
if the sum of both exceed 500watt then kulang imong UPS.

Big factor here is the videocard nimo...

    mao sakto gyud..

    mao sab...

    @TS:

and kindly post brand|model sa imo ups..
