It depends on the game if it allows wide screen mode. If not, it tend to be blurry, but not to the point of making it look bad. In my Sony 50" Grand Wega HDTV, it works that way. Best to leave your plasma to next gen.
thanks for d info. someone told me to use a component video to make it look good. before i buy one, can anyone coonfirm about component cable for ps2 to play in HDTV? cause it cost around 750 peso and i dont want to waste my money.. any info would be much appreciated..Originally Posted by edgeowns

Dont. According to some people at Gamespot.com, the quality hardly changes. And its not even on all games. Just wait for PS3 na lang if you really are excited to use HD.
The PS2 does supports HD quality w/ a Component Cable & almost all its games supports 480P & one game (GT4) supports 1080i; though it looks good on early Generation of HDTV's still you can see the Jagginess. Todays HDTV supports much more higher resolutions & the Jagginess looks much more prominent & much uglier to look at. IMHO the PS2's GPU is not @ Par w/ the Old Xbox & Old Gamecube.Originally Posted by rickdy
Although I havent seen a Single PS3 Game shown/demo @ Kiosk in Malls & Electronic Specialty Shops; but the Xbox 360 is really an HD Heaven Gaming Console. Try Dead Rising, Tomb Raider: Legends & Project Gotham 3.

really? whats your tv? im using samsung plasma tv 50".Originally Posted by mcbernz007
^^ Trust me, the difference is not night and day. Go ask people in Gamespot, IGN or Gamespy. Nothing really noticable in most people's eyes. If you want night and day difference, wait for PS3 and make sure you got atleast 720p.
