    Default Macintosh vs Hackinntosh

Thought u guys might want to read this:
Turning PC into Apple Macintosh: Hackintosh | Building Hackintosh,PC Hardware,Apple Mac Pro,Apple Macintosh,Computer,Snow Leopard,Turning PC Hardware into an Apple Macintosh Computer: Building the Hackintosh

I didn't post this to make a mac vs pc thread so please remain civil guys. This affirms that although mac is a very good platform, they have cons as well. The same can be said for PC.

With everyone pointing out the problems with the PC platform, no one really has really criticized (vocally anyway) the problems with a mac platform.

In this article we can see the inherent problem that macs are:
    (1) overpriced for the hardware they carry
    (2) behind hardware wise (took them a year to release i7 cpus on their notebooks after most regular laptops had it if i'm not mistaken)
    (3) need to consider a more open platform in their hardware rather than proprietary to make costs more accessible.

This also makes me wonder how much more powerful macs compared to their pc counterparts when running the same software that is fully optimized on both systems. With Mac having much more efficient OS design, i suspect the mac would perform better on said software on equal (and optimized) hardware.

Again please remain civil. My family uses both platforms and like both just as much.

    What do you guys think?

I've been using windows since windows started so I think i can say windows is user friendly and is easier to navigate.

Mac on the other hand, is hardcore meaning it has a great backbone programming especially on their snow leopard os however user interface is still quite difficult to handle.

In terms of reliability.. Mac never hangs-up nor does viruses affect its performance. PC on the other hand is vulnerable to viruses.

You can install Windows on a Mac using Bootcamp but PC usually need alot of spec changes in order to install mac os for compatibility.

Apple is overrated. I have a Mac, a Hackintosh and a PC. I will take the PC any day. No offense sa Mac users.

PC vs Mac? IMO, no winner because they're targeted for different market segment or people with different lifestyle

Mac Vs Hackintosh ? my vote goes to Hackintosh because Intel platform can run OSX and Mac can run Windows but it's the cost that makes the difference.
