WANTED: Experienced 3D modeler (from Metro-cebu area only) in one (or all) of the following 3D apps:
- 3D Studio MAX
- Maya
- ZBrush
The job: Two-week (14-day) design and creation of a 3D virtual space mimicking a "war room". The design will include a mockup, and the visual assets:

Overall “war room” design as one or more screenshot mockups (renders):
A room designed specifically for a team of 8-12 people to intensively bring together and visually organize a lot of content (office documents, shared applications/screen-sharing, web sites, images, movies), and make decisions on it over a relatively short period (days or weeks)
Contrasted with a short, repeated training session
Contrasted with a permanent room for a department
A room look and feel matching the visual design profile and global brands
Avatars not necessarily human-looking – assume there will be a more abstract representations of the users (and feel free to offer a suggestion, although it is not required), offering a window into that user’s social profile and recent activity (twitter,fb, behind-the-firewall microblogging) – thus literal tables and chairs may not be the right metaphor.
3-D assets:
The 3-D models/meshes and textures required to assemble your design
You should deliver piece parts, such as walls, floors, furniture and other structures, and assume that they will be assembled together into a room
Key Item: Display panel
The current look is structured as follows, but you should show us how it ought to be, which may be structured differently:
Title bar, with “blue button” at top left, which brings up a menu
Shelf at bottom (which holds “file cards”)
Background (note that the body of the panel changes hilite color depending on which user is mousing over it)
Status indicators (see top right of any display panel)
Transferring Data icon (blinking or some other live indication)
Start/stop panel toggle button which shows it’s current state, and has mouseover hilite
Replacement for the yellow triangle which appears above panel on mouseover, and is used for approaching it
FORMAT:
all PNG’s should be full-depth PNG's with alpha (transparency) around the core graphic
no solid-background graphics
Overall mockups should be delivered as a layered Photoshop or illustrator file, and as PNG
3-D assets should be in one of the formats importable into Teleplace: Google Sketchup .kmz, 3DsMax .ase or .obj, VRML2.0
DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS:
The product will be run on the wide array of hardware which business end-users use as their daily desktop/laptop, thus including large variation in cpu/memory/graphics capabilities – these are not gaming machines
Thus texture memory must be moderate, so total texture size for the room should not be above approximately 50MB uncompressed
Thus total polygons/triangles must be moderate, and no single model should consume a disproportionate number of polygons. Total for a room should not be beyond approximately 50,000 polygons, and ideally below 30,000.

Compensation: PHP 20,000.00 for 14-day work schedule.
