    Default Bookay-Bookay (not "okai okai")

Would a bookstore version of okai okai work in Cebu? Let's say someone had a supply of used books from the United States and wanted to open a used bookstore in Cebu, do you think people would buy from there? Who would the target market be? Students? Business people? Working people?

Where would you locate the business? Near schools? Near call centers? Malls?

Would you make the bookstore high ambience or more like okai okai?

There would be a random supply of subjects (business, fiction, non-fiction, self-help, etc.). Hardcovers, softcovers, etc. All from the United States. Most books would be 10 years old or newer.

Unsa imong huna huna ini na idea?

    Mazinger,

I'm a book reader, and I do buy pre-owned books or books on sale, mostly from RSO. It frustrates me that they don't categorize books. You see, readers don't read all kinds of books. We have our favorites, right?

And the "ukay-ukay books" doesn't appeal to me. Used, yes. But kanang ukayun? No. Frustrating experience na, not to mention that it will ruin the books.

There's a thread on Cafe Intelleto in Arts & Literature and the posters there express interest in a library/bookstore/book club kind of place. You can get ideas from there.
