Worst Movie Sequels

I'm not sure if this has been discussed here before, but I'm just interested to know what you guys think as some of the worst movie sequels.


Here's mine:

-Batman & Robin
Nippled Batsuit? WTF! Batman is suppose to be a dark hero, not a gay icon.

-Speed 2
LOL. Funny how everyone thinks Keanu is one dumb actor... but boy was he smart enough of giving this one a pass. Sandra Bullock on the other hand took the plunge and was lucky enough her career survived somehow.

-Ocean's 12
Julia Roberts pretending to be Julia Roberts? Ohh geez how clever.

-Alien 3
I hated this movie from the start. Why kill the lil girl Newt?

-The Godfather 3
This 3rd one just run out of gas. Sofia Copolla's acting didn't help either.

-The Matrix sequels (Reloaded, Revolution)
I might get flamed by mentioning this, but they both bored the sh!t out of me. Bullet-time action sequence that just went on too long, religious preaching that didn't make any sense, and that final resolution that was just lame.........ahhh I could go on. The Wachowski brothers just went overboard, overindulged.... and they blew it big time.

I have to agree that some sequels are in no way better off not made at all...Somehow, others were fortunate enough to have get even or perhaps, surpassed their predecessors sales, hehe..

my list of worst sequels:
-Scream 2 & 3(duh! the success of the first movie never stopped Wes Craven from making more screams, though it made Neve Campbell a star for..uhmm, for a while..)
-Batman & Robin (too theatrical...the fight scenes are sooo obviously, rehearsed)

sequels are barely successful. it's a common trend.

one of the worst for me not yet mentioned here was charlie's angels 2
from chick action flick to slapstick...

i noticed that although the first sequel is a flop, the next one is not that bad
i can remember American PIE 3 better than 2
and FastnFurious 3 Tokyo Drift was a lot lot better than the 2nd one

i agree, i know a lot of matrix lovers out there but the next 2 sequels were way too much

rocky 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,.....

I have to disagree with you on Rocky III and Rocky IIII.
Rocky III. It's a classic with Mr T (Clubber Lang- "Tell your wife to come over tonight and I'll show her a real man") and Hulk Hogan ("Thunderlips in the flesh baby") along with the death of his trainer "Mickey". Plus the "Eye of the Tiger" song. This is second to Rocky I for me.

Rocky IV is a classic cold war era scenario with the robotic Russian Ivan Drago ("I must break you") killing Apollo Creed in a U.S. ring and Rocky defeating the big Russian in the ring later on Christmas Day in Russia. Plus the song "Living in America" James Brown song. This is my third favorite Rocky movie.

Rocky II and Rocky V... I could do without them.

2 Fast 2 Furious, Matrix Reloaded, Dumb and Dumberer, The next Karate Kid,... and Ace Ventura 2, When Nature Calls (although Jim Carrey still cracks me up the movie sucked).
