The reviews for this sequel are coming in!
Dead Rising 2 is good. Very good, in fact. I felt like I needed to get that out right away. See, a few weeks ago I previewed the first two days of the game, and I found a title that was chugging in spots, suffering from really long loads, and generally not performing like a game that was about to come out. I reported that Capcom said it was aware of the issues and working to fix them, but even I rolled my eyes at the idea of the company getting everything in line for launch day. Well, it's not perfect and it is rough around the edges here and there, but Dead Rising 2 is definitely a winner.

Dead Rising 2 confirms that this is a development team that listens. Taking the good from the original and cutting or fixing the bad. It still carries all the horror spliced with comedy from the first and creates a world that intrigues, entertains and disgusts in equal measure. With repeat play a probability and the new multiplayer options this is one of those games worth braving the mall for.

Dead Rising 2 is a shotgun barrel of fun. There really is so much to do and so little time to do it. You’ll hardly ever get bored of running around torturing zombies with all manners of sadistic, man-made equipment. You can even take some R&R time to play strip poker with the ladies you’ve rescued back at the safehouse. Just expect to see Chuck reduced down to his heart-patterned boxer shorts most of the time.
