    Default "HELP or Emergency" forum

    Is it a good idea?

    A bad idea?

    or just simply redundant?

For people who need help like fire cases, blood donors, evacuations, lost people, and any related immediate need/s. More of a public service rather than simple discussions (or i might say debates).

This came to my mind during the fire last week, what if our house was on fire and I needed help for evacuation or something like that, could I ask help from fellow istoryan? how many will see my plea? How quickly could they see my post?

The bottom line is the easier view of the need when it is in a subforum rather than a sticky.

Just a thought or maybe a suggestion.

do you really have the time to post a thread, sit down and wait for the replies if naa na'y sunog?
    I don't think so..

Blood donors are ok, as these threads exists diri sa ISTORYA.

any immediate need, must call the ambulance/police/fireman, or those who can help, Silingan, etc..
After na lang siguro ang pag post sa ISTORYA.NET, Blog, Post on facebook or Tweet it..

    IMHO..

It's more on the help on evacuation, and maybe aftermath not necessarily during the fire...Mind you I was on the internet when part of Banawa was on fire, I lived here but not near the site of the fire...

You could still be in the office when a fire will break out and you may need an assistance in evacuating if your family will call you that a fire has broken on your area... Who knows...

IMO, from the examples you presented, only lost people and blood donors would probably make sense. I mean, do you really think you can find time to go online and ask for help in case your house is on fire? Even if its still a few houses away, i'd rather call the fil-chinese volunteers. It is still best to go directly to the people that handles the emergency situation you are having. That's SOP. After which, thats the time you can try and see what the forums can do for you.

di man pud siguro on the spot, makahibaw ta kung asa i-dagan ang mga evacuees..

because during fire, simbako lang ma-igo inyuha, your family member would be busy saving and guarding your stuffs.

di man pud ka kahibaw kung asa ang evacuation area coz ang baranggay tanod or kinsa from government ang maka sulti ana.

Kung medical help gani, like, naa'y na-poison, why not research on how to give first aid.. Lisud man gud nga mag hulat pa sa reply.

    example:

    TS: Na-poison akong anak
    ISTORYAN1: noh, louya oi..
    ISTORYAN2: hala, na-unsa man TS?
ISTORYAN3: i-dala nalang na sa OSPITAL
TS: Nasagul d.i sa among blah blah blah...
    ISTORYAN4: tagai'g tambal TS.
and so on and so forth..

you might have some conversation like that here..
Pero kung adto ka deretso sa Doctor, lahi na inyu conversation..

directly ask for a professional help for emergencies and discuss later on Social sites and/or forums..

Lastly, IMHO, creating a thread here sa General Discussion, can help directly sa mga problems, than creating one long list of "HELP" or "EMERGENCY" thread..

I think a better way, is to STICKY emergency numbers, like Police/Ambulance/Fire fighters, etc..
