Thumbs up share your experiences with honesty (yours or others)

share lang nako akong mga na experience diri sa cebu regarding sa honesty sa mga tao:

this happened last night lang 09/07/10 at robinsons cybergate (infront of chonghua hosp)

me and wifey went to cdrking to buy a wireless mouse, and seeing that the mouse required batteries to function, nag inquire nalang pod ko sa salesperson about sa ilahang rechargeable batteries (cdrking brand), ang batteries lang akong gusto kay i already have an energizer battery charger, mao nangutana ko if the cdrking rechargeable batteries can be charged using my energizer charger, ang ingon sa salesperson is "wala sila kibalo, but ang ilaha kunong cdrking branded battery charger ang maka charge ug energizer rechargeable batteries".

mupalit nalang unta ko kay ako lang i try (barato raman pod gud) but then pinaduko ug pina whisper gi ingnan ko sa salesperson nga "ayaw nalang palita sir kay basig dili pwede, basig muboto ang battery". i was happy kay instead of pushing to sell the product, the salesperson was concerned enough to tell me (although pina secret lang) nga dili nalang nako paliton.

after that, me and wifey went to golden cowrie resto still at cybergate, kay gusto ko mukaon ug baked scallops for dinner. prior to ordering, nangutana ko sa waiter if "fresh ba ang ilahang scallops?", and again, (although na notice nako nga murag na uncomfortable siya sa pagtubag), honestly told me nga "dili na raba kaayo fresh sir, murag dugay2 na nga stock" so wala nako niorder ug scallops.

unta daghan pa tao ang mga parehos ani nila oi. dali ra gyud muasenso atong nasod if there are more honest people like them.

i forgot to mention diay kadtong nahitabo sa sony ericsson shop sa sm cebu. the salesperson was honest enough to say nga ang replacement batteries na ilang baligya is not genuine but class A batteries only.

    makalipay jud ning mga tawhana

Nice one sir. From a customers view point, nindot ni siya na experience because in Manila, you won't experience the same thing.

This is a double edged sword though...Some people will not go back to the merchant because they lose the confidence in the product, some will come back though because they are confident that the waiter or salesperson will be honest with them.

Sa mata sa tag-iya sa business, mag labad iya ulo ani.

mao pod lage sir, but mas maayo unta nga owners/top management of establishments, reward/give merits to employees like these... kay sila lang man gyapon madaot if they prioritize in selling the products even if its inferior.

if dili to honest ang salesperson sa cdrking unya nakapalit ko adtong batteries ug niboto tinuod, unya nag cause ug fire, sa ilaha man gyapon mubalik ang blame, OR if nangilad ang waiter nga fresh ang scallops and then na food poison ko, mas dakong tulubagon nila diba?

mao jud unta ang ideal (honesty), ang problema man gud usahay kay kung kinsa pa to ang magtinarong, mao pa to ang ma dehado.

mao himo ko ug thread nga ingani para maka lift pod ug spirits maski gamay, kay i know those people were risking losing their jobs by telling the truth, but they did the right thing anyway ^__^

    saludo ako sayo pinoy

I agree with you sir. I will share my ideas from a business stand point as well. In the case of CD-Rking I would commend the sales lady because she understands the product and understands what the customer was looking for. She understands na and customer nangita ug barato na at the same time magamit pud. Although as a consumer most likely, if mangita ta barato jud, naa jud nay certain risks that the product would be inferior.
In the case of the restaurant, kung ako amo ani, di nako kasaban ang waiter, he was doing me a favor by preventing a possible food poisoning. On the other hand, ang ako seminaron ani ang ga manage sa stocks, kung ang scallops daot na, maayo pa ug gilabay na then order ug bago na stocks. This will save the waiter from having said what he said to you...Maot bya paminawn na muingon sila na dili na fresh ila scallops. Mau pa muingon sila na wala pay stock sa scallop kaysa muingon sila na di na presko.
