What was your very first pet?

Hello every one
I would like to start off with pets..
Pets, they may come in many size, furry, fluffy, scaly, pointy, sharp, dull, some needs water some need heat.
for me, i started with fighting fish, back then i was just a kid around 5 or 6.. you know how it is, kids play every time with friends and show off stuff you think its cool to look at.. I was about to clean the fish bowl and i noticed my fish is al ready belly up.. Was so pissed, threw him in the toilet and fulshed him down, went back to the fish bowl to drain the water just to find out it was a her not a him.. i think there were hundreds of egg we also flushed down, eggs because i though they were round fish food dad bought for me..
Around 8 i got a pair of peruvian guinea pig, i have been breeding GP's for years and they were my longest pets for me to take care of.. from two then, 4, then 8, then 10, 16, etc.. my maximum number of GP population was around 44, no joke.. during my 14th birthday since i noticed i cant take care of them all, i decided to give them away as part souvenirs, all 40 of them, of course i had to leave two for me..
Around 12 my dad bought me a Two toed long eared albino hedgehog and a four toed long eared snowflake. Once again, since they were new to me, i had to take care of them so dearly.. Started as two then came out 4, then i started to think, why not buy more?? i bought another 4 of prickly critters and ending up having to give them away once again to my cousins who had no pets like i had.
around the age of 15 or on going 15, i received my very first Emperor scorpion, at first it was so scary, but once my dad taught me how to take care of them on how to hold them and treat them with respect, i gave them my love and care, until few weeks later i got stung because of my stupidity to leave their cage open for the entire night.
At the same age, my father again gave me my first tarantula, i had a trauma with spiders since i was bitten by one by a wolf spider back when we were living at LA, usa.. So i didnt told my dad i sold it to my friend. he never found out. hehehe..
Around the age of 17 i started to stop buying allot of pets and started with teen-agers do best, part baby, yeah.. The cars, the girls.. man, i was so stupid.. hehehe... anyway..
I want to hear your story ! because i will try to compile them all and turn it into a children's book titled "pet care 101" for kids 4 and up. Put your name and your story so i would know who the person was and who owns their story. Thanks ! you heard my pets, now i wanna listen to yours.

mga pet nako ahh..

First was a pair of Hamster, nia namatay, kai dagmalan mn. khbw ka bata, wa pai buot..

Second was mga Goldfish, nia nangamatay pod kai wa mnko kahibaw nga ang MCWD naa diae Chlorine, mahibong lang ko every after ilis nakog tubig, mangamatay lang akong mga isda.. mao na diae to..

Third was a Flowerhorn, wa ko kahibaw unsai strain ato nia kai wa pmn koi kalibutan ato, namatay pod kai wai kaon, wai ganahan mo alaga kai mura daw ug tilapia. haha!

Fourth was a Red Pacu, pinangga kaaaaayo to nako kai ako ju'y naka pa dako ato, i bought them 3 kbuok nia 2" pa sila, then 2 died at 5"" kai ni dako nmn sila gd nia di na kaigo sa tank, mao to usa nalai nahabilin, cya ju'y ni survive, 7"-8" na to, but after a month, namatay rpd cya kai gamay naman keu iyang place nga langoy langoyan. hibong nalang ko pagmata nako pag buntag, naglutaw na, gi lubong nalang nako, di naman mada'g CPR gd. hahaa!

so ni quit kog pets.. then wa ma dugay, nag sugod npd kog mga Exotic Pets.

First was a Mexican Red Knee Tarantula, gi sud sa 9x9x9 enclo nia ako ra to gi taguan sa cabinet nako kai di mo sugot akong sister ug inana nga pets, ni molt cya 3x nako then ako cya gbaligya dungan sa ako-ang second ug third exotic pet nga ..

Orange Baboon Tarantula ug African Horned Baboon Taratula. 9x9x9 ghapon ilang enclo nga naa sa cabinet, ang Orange Baboon wala naka molt nako but ang African Horned naka molt 2x.

Fourth, was a Heterometus Spinifiner Scorpion, ni molt 1x nako and gibaligya ra pod nako dungan sa akong fifth ug Sixth exotic pets nga ..

Jumbo Emperor Scorpion nga ni molt 3x nako ug Centuroides Margaritatus nga ni molt 2x nako.. pero wala na ni sila sa 9x9x9 enclo nga gi taguan sa cabinet, naa ni sila nako gibutang ug separate plastic bins nga 15l x 10w x 11h.

and gihatagan kog Abyssinia Guinea Pig sa akong migo, nga gipanganlan nakog "Ginger", tua ni cya sa akong ig.agaw rn, ddto nako gpa buhi kai langas mn kaayo gd.

nia naka suway pod kog Guppies & Red Cherry Shrimps.

then ni sud npd kog balik ug Flowerhorn, naa koi Reddish X GM named "Agustos", Juvy pa ni cya pagka palit, 2" pa, karon 4" na cya nga naa sa 4ft tank.

then naka palit pod kog 6 Dwarf Hamsters nga wala nagdugay, ako ra sang gi baligya kai nag palit kog Monster Fish. ^_^

ug karon ang akong pet nahabilin kai si Agustos [Reddish x GM] ug ang mga Monster Fish. ^_^

Mine is pair of Blonde Guppies That I purchased outside the School
where I study way back in Grade School. Ever since I got them I
got hooked up with the Aquarium Industry until now. I have kept
different species of fish from different families and my favorite are
the Cichlids.

my first pet was chick which i won from a game outside my grade school 13 years ago.. i didn't know how to take care of it so it died after a few days, i won another chick again and this time, my father built a cage for the poor chick, after 3 months it grew and my uncle cooked it for their pulutan without my permission..

so i decided i wont take care of chicks anymore, but a few days later(this happened in leyte) a woman from the barrio came knocking at our door bringing with her a game cock.. she said she would exchange it for clothes and some canned goods, my mother agreed, my uncle then cut off the "tapay" then we took it to the cock pit arena the following sunday.. my pet game cock won 3 fights and we called it a day.. it was really fulfilled the moment i ate the dish my uncle served using the chicken that my pet killed during his fights

OMG..I remember this game (chick), this happened so long ago I even forgot how young I was that time. I won 2 chicks. I kept the other one and I gave the other to my brother.I was so inlove with the small yellow chick that I never wanted to be out of his site.I even sleep with that chick. In the morning when I woke up, I realized I stepped on the chick when I was sleeping and it died....

I cried, really cried when I saw my chick split hard on my bed.....

i think my first pet was a hamster didnt last long i think.
then a turtle it fell on the second floor of the house didnt last long.
some fishes. first hobby that i really have interest on even until now.
rabbits. ate by dogs.
guinea pigs. loved raising them
a broiler chicken. cried when someone tried to slaughter the poor chicken, it did have a good life thou
a native owl. goes out at night to hunt and returns to its cage early in the morning.
a lovebird. lasted for 2 days and until then never thought on raising another bird as a pet.
a monkey. biggest mistake.
