we may collaborate with like-minded survivalists and talk about disaster preparedness - both natural and man-made, wilderness survival, survival vehicles--restoration and modification, marksmanship, hunting, fishing, and trapping, etc.
u can connect sa red cross dnha sa may capitol they do training and pep talk regarding disaster management and preparedness..
bro...what specific preparedness imo gusto bro? if muadto ka sa red cross you have to pay for the trainings. or bisan asa ka naay fees to be collected... but still they can help... they are there for the skills but if we discuss abuot preparedness it is another thing.
preparedness...well this is a very nice topic to dicuss... makarelate ko ani... for a start bro you can orient your retreat participants "what to do and what's not" duing emergency cases. orient them to simply follow instructions. it is very easy to say "don't panic" but in actual scenarios panic do exist. it is normal but the ability of a person to overcome this to resume to its conscious mind is what that matters. this is the key to survival.
mao na there is always someone that they will look up to na mufacilitate nila during these cases. leadership is essential sa ani and part sa leadership is knowledge and skills that will fit to the scene.
@manta rye: Salamat kaayu sa mga inputs sir. Actually, broad man gud kaayu ni nga subject pero basically maghisgot ni ug food storage, first aid ug minor surgery, gardening, lighting/batteries, tactical living and security-firearms, communications, it’s all about survival. Pero ang ganahan nako ma organize kay kaning gitawag nga the ultimate family preparedness that is having a well-stocked rural retreat alternative isip vacation home nga dunay daghang supply sa tubig, lugar nga gamay ra nag manuyo pero agricultural area. Plano unta ko moapil kung dunay existing nga grupo dinhi that includes members with medical knowledge, tactical skills, electronics experience, and traditional practical skills. Duna toy thread dinhi nga naghisgot about food stoarage more than five years ago na but nalimot lang ko kung asa.
doomsday preppers?

Imagine what if we’re hit with a typhoon and have destroyed a whole rice season harvest. Roads Washed aways. Caused water shortages, electricity blackouts, and communication problems. Not to mention, wiped away and destroyed entire homes.
The aftermath of such typhoons is not just about surviving the typhoon itself, but surviving the days and months that follow. Ramos, a retired army general, once told The Associated Press. “This is like preparing for war, we know the past lessons, and we’ve got to be prepared.” Have you considered what you will do if an economic crisis threatens your contribusions, investments and other so-called "guaranteed" income? What about a major earthquake or other natural disaster suddenly upsetting the natural social order for months at a time? Could you get out of harm's way if massive social unrest erupts in the wake of a crisis?
What about your home? Do you have any extra tanks of potable water should public water supplies be cut off or contaminated? Would you know how to collect and filter your own water if none was available for a long time? I believe that now is the best time to be prepared for the worst case scenario.
Good day sir!
