    Default Invitation to a Personal Finance Literacy Program


    Hello Istoryans!

    It's the month of August and my birth month, too! Instead of the usual gift giving (wherein you give a gift to the celebrant), I decided to give a gift to you guys even though it's my birthday. I would like to share to you what I've learned and gathered while in the finance industry for the past 4 years through a PERSONAL FINANCE LITERACY PROGRAM. Details are as follows:

    What: Personal Finance Literacy Program

    When: Saturday, August 14, 21, and 28, 2010

    Time: 1:30pm-5:00pm

    Where: 2nd Flr., Insular Life Bldg, beside CIC main Gorordo Ave. (not beside Ayala kay under construction pa. Hehe )

    Speaker: Hannah Almira Amora

    Fee: P50 (mainly for snacks and some materials. The talk is free itself)

    Registration starts at 1:00pm

    TOPIC OUTLINE:
    - Define your life dreams.

    - Identify your current role and your Financial Life Stage.
    - Single -------------------------- Start-up
    - Married ------------------------- Build-up
    - Parents vs
    - Empty Nesters------------------- Asset Allocation
    - Retired-------------------------- Retirement

    - PERSONAL FINANCE CHECK-UP

    - Redefine one’s Basic Concept of Wealth – unlearning what we’ve learned.
    Example Topics:
    - Asset vs Liability (Is your house really your BIGGEST ASSET?)
    - Pre-need vs Insurance (What’s the difference?)

    - Create a Personal Income-Expense Statement and Statement of Assets and Liabilities to know your Personal Net Worth.

    - Identify different investment vehicles.

    - The Danger of being a Saver – Effect of inflation on your savings intended for long-term use

    - Turn dreams to goals thru a Personal Financial Plan.
    - For Parents – Educational Planning for the kids
    - Retirement Planning

    - Discuss how Insular Life can help

    okay ra walk-in, but i would appreciate if i can have a headcount before the said dates para maka-prepare ko sa materials needed and maka-huna2x pud ko daan para sa snacks...

    So far, i have 3 istoryans signing up for this Saturday, Aug 14... anybody else??

    By the way, a similar program can cost you anywhere from P500-P1000/head. But for this month... I'm giving the lecture for free! (Technically it's free, coz the P50 is for your snacks... )
