    Default ddr2 to ddr3

mga masters nag plano ko mo switch to ddr3rams mga masters..since ddr3 rams has the same price as ddr2 rams

    my existing budget rig:
    phenom II x2 555be
    MSI 785gt-e63-to be sold
4x1 patriot signature rams(800mhz)-to be sold
    hd5770
    St50f(modular)

    planned cheapo upgrade:

ECS A785GM-M -help me justify this mobo
    gskill ripjaws/trident 2x2/1x2 1600mhz

ok bah akong plano O ok pa akong existing rig..libog pako but i will decide sooner or later, unsay ika tambag ninyu??is there a noticeable performance bump using ddr3 rams??

Why not MSI 785G-E65 or E51? Cons lang sa ECS kay if gusto ka mag-overclock gamay ya iya headroom not like other brands like MSI or Asus ( depending on the model )

amd 785 chip is already a good chipset. moving to ddr3 might not give that performance boost u may expect if using the same chipset. if muilis man lang ka, go for the newer 8xx chips by msi/asus/gigabyte and use ddr1600(OC mode) to max performance and overclock like heLL....

i wouldnt bother with ECS. i dont think it can withstand extreme overclocking. not to mention i had personal issues with their cheap-model parts... havent tried their performance motherboards though like their Black Series...

it mean it can support 1066 memories if u overclock your computer. coz when u use a 1066mhz memory, it will just be detected as 800mhz mao imo i overclock to reach its rated speed of 1066mhz

^^ it's the maximum speed your memory can support but if the motherboard supports it and with the right processor support (most likely with the c3 stepping) you can always do the oc..in my case brad..asrock 890gx has 1333 and 1600 (oc) 1800 (oc) respectively..i am now using the 1600 (oc) since its the maximum speed my memory has (g skill trident 1600 cl of course i can try to max it with 1800 (oc) but not now cguro maybe later..^_^..
