try setting the jumper on the hdd. some harddrives have jumpers setting for unsupported configurations. lets say if you have 120G and the computer only supports 30G then it will only detect 30 G from your 120G.

If your new HD is SATA, no need to set jumper but if IDE, e set jud na nimo para dili siya mag conflict.
