centos with squid proxy

hi ask tko..we have a server in cebu and davao, we have a proxy installed in both sites, however the server in davao is unable to receive email if you don't install vpn client. The connection in cebu to davao is thru ip vpn. we have one router in davao connected to the ipvpn then to cebu. the proxy that we're using is squid. Any ideas?thanks

Where is your email server hosted? I think it has nothing to do with your proxy server. Just give more info with regarding your setup.
