Hello Pips:

I'd like to convert my PII unit to XP. What should I do? Here's the spec:

333 Mhz
128 MB
10GB HD
BUILT-IN VC
BUILT-IN AC

This unit is used for office only. Records keeping lang. Kindly advise. Thanks

ang kana imo, pun-i na ug another 128 na ram and at least a 32 Video Card kay ang ako kay mo kamang na kung naa daghan flash ang websites... or maski mag watch lang ug salida na dako ug resolution kay mo kamang na...

if you wanted to upgrade your computer, i think the only hardware that you could upgrade with your mobo is your memory or ram. make it 512mb if possible (256mb at least) if your planning to use windows xp. But if you have the budget, i would prefer getting new computer coz its cheaper nowadays than b4. A lot of new applications coming out which require more power.

the only thing to do is to replace your mobo, hard drive, processor and memory modules since you already have the monitor, casing and power supply. if you need to replace your mouse and keyboard to be compatible with windows xp it is affordable. maybe you will only have to spend P300 with both.

talking processor you can get intel celeron D at around P2500+or-; amd sempron @P3000+or- (socket 754 or am2 if u have the budget)
mobo @ 1500+or- (agp/ide) @P3000+or- (pcie/sata)recommended
memory @P2300+or-
hard drive @2000+or- 40Gb

kung as is imo hardware .... windows 98se nlng na bro basin maka save paka ug time ...kay for sure bug at ang xp para sa imo nga hardware.. samay reason nimo bro ng mag xp ka??

mas stable bitaw ang win98se kay sa ME, pero problema man gud sa win98 ang mga drivers...... bisan unsa lang bro.... kung unsa imong nahan....
