    Default Bank's Poor Service Support


    I made this thread just to comment on the service support of Metrobank, this is not to defame them but to ask advices from istoryans and to share their own experience with other banks. My story goes this way...

    I opened a credit card through metrobank, I was glad that the limit is only 20k, even though that I was working in abroad, the purpose of the card is for online purchase only like on ebay, online air tickets. I chose metrobank than the banks here in Singapore because I feel comfortable with a pinoy kind of a bank.

    Now, my problem is that, every time I am paying my credit card bills, I have to ask a favor to other person by remitting to his account, then he pays to the bank, and also consider his commission for the errand I asked from him. I know, it may be unsecured way of payment although it is not a large amount. But considering the security and the favor I am always asking, I also debt him with favors.
    So, I asked the assistance of the service support to enroll for an i-banking which will be more easy and secured way of paying the bills, yet the problem is they insisted that I should go and visit my branch, which is very impossible for me. I have to pay an airfare from Singapore to Lapu-lapu just to enroll into their i-banking feature…what an inconvenient mode of enrolment, how terrible I say. So, as a solution I emailed them to ask for an enrollment form to sign to be sent through my email then I will just fill it up and sign, and send to the branch by postal mail including the required documents. But, still now a month of enquiry, they haven’t responded. I just can’t believe that their support is inconsiderable and lousy one.

    I say, “I regret getting a credit card from metrobank, they have a poor support to their customers”.

    Kung naa mo parehas experience ani, please ko post sad diri, or any suggestions or advices is highly appreciated.

    One reason I withdrawn all savings because of their poor service.

    so frustated to what happen... METROBANK pa jud..plan paman ta ko n d near future pero nawa nah..wiw thanks sa info jud mam....... Network Reach by means we shd go w/ a bank that has a d biggest network worldwide so we can access our account from virtually anywhere n d world.. Service Offerings-dapat jud nga ato i study ang product og service line-up of diff. banks b4 ta mo open og bank account. So mga istoryans d 1st thing ato i ask labi na ta sa abroad ... DO DY HAVE INTERNET BANKING? DO DY HAVE CONVENIENT PAYMENT FACILITY? so internet banking s a life-changing experience jud.. tks tsk.. whre n u can mke ur transactions ryt on a pc (computer) anytime, w/ no surly, slowly-moving tellers to ruin our day...! tsk tsk tsk

    That must be very frustrating considering that Metrobank is not a small bank. It's not like they're outdated.
    That doesn't make sense that they'd ask you to actually pay a visit na imo branch.

    Banco de Oro or BPI

    I am a Banco de Oro member -- BDO has online forms that you can print, fill out, sign and mail, then naa favorable answer right away. Gets the job done very easily, just the way it should be.

    With BPI - can't say much but I have heard positive reviews from friends and family.

    Best of luck to you. Hope you'd be able to sort things out very soon. Sounds like, danhan hassle just to pay your bill, also the extra cost.
