    Default Smooth Alternative 89.9

although the music is not exactly alternative aka left of the dial music ( all i'm hearing so far are popular rock songs from the 70s to the present e.g Def Leppard, Nirvana, Garbage, Oasis, Toad The Wet Sprocket, etc), this station is still perfect for those who wanna hear popular rock music.

But i hope they'll expand their playlist to include those alternative (meaning not mainstream) artists like The Mice, Yo La Tengo, Jellyfish, Wondermints, BOn Iver, Fleet Foxes, The Linus of Hollywood, Supergrass, Fanfarlo, The Pains of Being Pure At Heart, Uncle Tupelo, SOn Volts, Whisketown, etc...

i been listening to this station for sometime already.. it's kind of a bag of everything.. musics that dates back from the 80's down to the 90's and even some current hype ones...

One thing I observe is that they don't have an exact playlist to play in an hour or so.. I recalled the other day, the D.J. played a song from Outfield.. then the next music she played was a song from Lady Gaga...

so far all i'm hearing are those in the rock umbrella (new wave, pop rock 90s, current pop rock) except for indie rock and left of the dial rock. maybe they're still in test broadcast. there was a forum about bringing 89.9 back to rock some time past here at istorya. nawala man .la nko ka locate so start nalang ko lain hehehe

i'm a medical student but if given a chance i would definitely like to contribute my music collection and volunteer my 3 hour weekend playing all those unpopular punk/lo-fi/alternative/indie/americana/country/power pop tunes hehehe

i think with my moms car radio, i'd have no other option but hear only this station kay libog kayo e configure.. anyways, i also noticed that their playlist do come and go as it would please, i didn't mind until i saw this thread that I'M NOT ALONE at noticing this..

anyways, sleek old skul alternative songs brings back memories of the past.. it's nice to at least have a little history left in ourselves..

since they're already playing rock oriented music just hope maybe sooner mahimo na nga credible ila station. they need to play more indie pop, indie rock, alternative rock, americana, power pop, folk rock, singer-songwriters, bands like Jellyfish, Wondermints, The Posies, Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver, Steve Earle, Wilco, She and Him, 20/20, The Drums, Son Volts, Ryan Adams, Gram Parsons, etc

pagka kabasa nako ani na thread ive dialed station right away.. ang naka play kay halo - beyonce im bit disappointed kay di mao ang feedback ako nabasahan diri.. as they say patience is a virtue ako gihuwat nga mahuman ug kanta si inday beyonce.. then greenday came in, followed by some new wave tunes.. im starting to like this station hopely di lang ta nila sagulan ug pop music..
