It depends... you may use it commercially as long as you adher to the GPL. If, however, you intend to modify it and use it in your own code, then you either need to release your code as GPL or purchase a commercial license.

mySQL doesn't support any business logics into its implementation... mySQL is purely just a text field database and that's why it's free. So you gotta check the conflicts of schedules through your source code. Otherwise, go for other database applications.

it would be nice if u will pair Php or ASP to ur mySQL u can google it for some sample apps u can't be wrong if you choose Php + mySQL
